How to use Zovirax Cold Sore Treatment CreamApply the cream to the affected area five times a day at approximately 4 hourly intervals for four days. It is recommended that these first few days be used to measure the affected area by a 5mm radius. Do not apply to mucus, broken or discoloration. If irritation is observed, wash the area with water and reapply to affected skin as soon as possible after the skin has dried. Zovirax Suspension is used to treat viral infections. It plays a vital role in treating cold sores (an inflamed blister in or near the mouth, caused by infection with the herpes simplex virus), genital herpes (a common sexually transmitted infection marked by genital pain and sores), and herpes zoster (a viral infection that causes a painful rash). In addition to this, it is also used to treat chickenpox. Zovirax Suspension does not cure herpes but does not allow the infection to spread and treat its symptoms.
Zovirax Suspension contains Aciclovir, which is an antiviral medication. Zovirax Suspension prevents the multiplication of viruses in human cells by acting on their DNA, resulting in decreased viral overload.
Zovirax Suspension is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition. In some cases, you may experience headaches, feeling dizzy, feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting), diarrhoea, rash, and skin sensitivity to sunlight. Most of these side effects of Zovirax Suspension are temporary, do not require medical attention, and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.
Take Zovirax Suspension only if the doctor prescribes you. Never encourage self-medication or suggest your medicine to someone else. Do not take Zovirax Suspension if you are allergic to Zovirax Suspension, aciclovir, or any of its ingredients. How to take Zovirax Suspension: To treat genital herpes, keep using this medicine for 6 months to live. If you do not complete this, your doctor will determine whether or not Zovirax Suspension is an treatment for you. If you do not follow the doctor's advice, your risk of getting genital herpes should increase. If you feel like you may need adjustments to the dose or if you develop any side effects, contact your doctor as soon as possible. In addition, in rare cases, genital herpes can be attached to sores, consult your doctor immediately if you experience an outbreak, should any of these apply to you.It is especially important to tell your doctor about any previous surgeries, unusual tiredness, and swelling of the face, neck, and stomach.
